The Retreat was AMAZING!
On the back side of the retreat, which has since come and gone, I see already the effects of our 2006 Women’s Retreat. As it says here on the Women’s Site, we were “Connecting Generations ~ Connecting Lives”, and even more so, Jesus was connecting with each of us.
As I’ve pondered the retreat: the excellent teachings by the invited speakers, the Spirit-filled worship and the prayer ministry where women were transparent and the Holy Spirit spoke love, and truth, and healing, I felt like Jesus gave me a revelation. I was asking him what the difference was going to be from having the retreat - what would be the “fruit.” I felt like he showed me the women will be maturing and getting their stuff taken care of so that we will be ready for the next season of women. With our building being raised this next year, there will be more women who will be crossing the threshold of our church, and we need to be ready and willing to be there to welcome them, to teach them, to love them.
I am in awe and total amazement as I look around at the gifted, Godly women who call our church home. Join me, as I join with them, to follow Jesus’ lead in loving God, loving people, and living it out. May we be equipped to take care of those whom God calls to our new building, which they will call their home.
